Community Banking Centre Transformation
Description:
The Scott Road branch of CIBC has been transformed to operate with a new client-sales model to support the strategic objective of positioning CIBC bank as an industry leader, driving meaningful business growth through a greater focus on their clients.
This project was split into two phases, as the original scope included the removal of a wall that the client’s architect originally thought to be non-structural on the drawings. When it was opened up, we found it was a structural wall with Steel Cross Bracing. We decided to finish the original scope and leave the wall in place so that in the short term, CIBC could re-open and continue serving their valued customers. We then came up with an expedited construction plan to demolish and and replace the wall with two steel columns, and subsequently re-route electrical, refinish the paint and drywall of the area all within a 7-day window. This involved tight coordination with multiple trades, engineers, and inspectors within this time frame.
